Where to recycle old electronics
Many states ban TVs and computers from the trash. Electronics recyclers, some retailers and county collection events accept them, sometimes with a fee for TVs and monitors.
How to do it
- Wipe or remove hard drives from computers and phones.
- Ask about fees for CRT TVs and large monitors.
- Check retailer take-back programs for small electronics.
